THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
1964 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT**
|
|

This NEAR MINT UK 1964 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels use the 'chubby' style font which appears only on initial 1st pressings.
They also bear the 'Sold in UK..' texts & have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
I could not see any tax/price code in the centre of either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a 'mid-sized' front stereo logo.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 2/MG & 1/RPT
Disc weight: 169g

Labels: NEAR MINT
An immaculate set with no spindle trails to either centre-hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
This pristine copy has survived in remarkable condition and looks like it has just left the shop this morning, let alone 44 years ago.
Both surface are 'as new' and totally unmarked in strong daylight, with their full deep-gloss 'as new' shines fully intact with no clouding or dull pactches to any area .
Close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals only a sparkling rainbow gloss shine and just literally one or two barely visible paper hairlines but absolutely no scuffs or scratches whatsoever.
Both sides of this heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
You will not find a better example.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This incredible sounding disc has been barely, if ever played and the superior stereo mix shines through and sounds 100% 'as new' on every track.
From an absolutely silent side 1 run-in to the run-out on side 2, my careful play-check at volume detected absolutely no traces of any audible wear whatsoever.
Even the easily worn points such as the opening chord and delicate innermost tracks on both sides are free form any groove/play wear or background noise.
All bands between the tracks are silent with no ticks, pops or any other form of intereference.
I guarantee this to be a true reference copy of this title which will not disappoint.

Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
This superb example has been carefully stored in a non-smoking environment and has no hint of discolouration to the white areas.
The front panel laminate is glossy and unscratched with just two tiny 'thumbnail' wrinkles and a few to the spine but no other significant signs of wear.
All corners are extremely clean & sharp and both opening edges are perfectly straight and unworn with no pushes, feathering or tears front or rear.
The rear panel is clean and bright white with no handling marks, writing or missing paper and apart from a faint smudge above & below Ringo's portrait, all appears 'as new'.
The upper seam is a little rough to the touch and there is a 1.5mm stress to the lower seams, but the spine is perfectly worded and totally undamaged.
All flipbacks look like new as all are perfectly clean & fully intact.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Clean & crisp with just the inevitable faint disc impression but no splits, tears or writing.
