One of a special run of 12 2005 Eastern Maple, Honduras Mahogany, LEMONDROPS! ONLY 8.48 LBS!! Much like Jimmy Wallace, Dave Carpenter of Woodwind & Brasswind, Music 123, Guitar Sale and Most famously of Music Machine, has enough clout to pick and choose wood for his special runs, wood that usually goes on Les Pauls to Japanese dealers like Yamano! Well, he did a special run of 12 lightweight (not weight relieved!) Glossy Lemondrops in 2005. You remember those 25th anniversary (of Music Machine) R0s he did in 2002, and the famous Music Machine Stinger Series Les Pauls he did in 2003? Well he did not quit there, he continued to do special runs. He and Edwin Wilson of the Custom shop handpicked all the wood on these 12 Lemondrop Les Pauls. Offered here is a beautiful example of one of those Lemondrops, with fantastic 3-D wide flame! You see some lemondrops in 2007, they are VOS, but this one is GLOSS! Now a $300 upcharge. The board is as dark, dense and straight as any I have seen, hand selected by Dave Carpenter too!
I also have an email authenticating this from Dave Carpenter himself.
Comes with compliment of case candy COA and RI Black Historic case.
Beautiful DEEP dimpled belly top carve, extraordinary example!
As you may imagine, as it is all about the wood, this sounds amazingly open and organic. Woody to be exact. Soft and smooth as a whisper, or as raunchy and bluesy as you choose, as beautiful as this is, it is truly a Les Paul to be played, perfect for the collector or the working musician. Don't let this one slip by, it is not your run of the mill R9, it is the one you have been looking for! Excellent++ condition.
